Here is a quick update:
It still needs a few more highlights and shadows. Shiny parts were made with gold leaf technique.

Man, oh man I just luuv Gaal Massimo. The only possible suggestion I can think of would be to add some orrery/planet free hands on his robes.
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm glad that you like the model, thanks! The planets are an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it would fit the undyed leather effect I was trying to achieve. By the way, my initial plan was to paint it with some vivid colours arranged in a chessboard pattern (like here http://www.warseer.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=101731&d=1291314639). Cheers!
DeleteVery nice. The watercolur effect on the robe is particularly interesting
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is my second attempt to imitate the JB's excellent technique (the first one here http://steifermini.blogspot.com/2014/06/the-robed-advisor-new.html) and I think that I'm starting to understand how to do it. Cheers!
DeleteFantastic looking model! His face is particularly awesome. I also really like what you did with his left hand. The coins look much better. Keep up the great work!
